Cajun Krunch started with a recipe that's been passed down for over 40 years — through family in Louisiana and Texas, refined generation after generation, long before it ever had a storefront.
Our founder grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, raised Vietnamese-American with deep roots in Cajun and Southern cooking. After earning a bachelor's degree at LSU and an MBA in New Orleans, he brought that same mix — discipline, business sense, and a lifelong love of bold flavor — back home to build something her family could be proud of.
Our fried batter isn't one recipe — it's several family recipes layered together over decades. That's why people say our food tastes different from the other seafood spots in town. The seasoning runs all the way through, not just on the surface.
Built while raising a family
This restaurant opened while our founder was raising three young kids — including a newborn just two weeks old. Long days, time away from family — all of it went into getting this right. It wasn't an easy road, but every bit of it was for family, and that's still what drives everything we do.
